With Mohan Babu playing the role of Ravan, we wanted to find a big star to play Lord Ram and so we approached B-town superstar Hrithik Roshan and narrated the concept to him. ‎Surya to again work with 'Singam' director

Rubbishing reports that director Hari has changed his plans of casting actor Suriya in his next movie and opting for actor Vishal instead, the director himself has made it clear that nothing of that sort happened. "Suriya is busy shooting for 'Maatraan' now. As soon as he is done with it, we will go in for discussions and start shooting the movie from March," said Hari, who has already directed Suriya in 'Aaru' and 'Singam' and Vishal in 'Thamirabarani'. He also added that the decision of working together again with Suriya was taken soon after 'Singam' released.
Talking more about the untitled project, Hari, who is known for his region-based scripts, said, "It will mark a new approach to making a commercial movie. We are trying something new, which I can't share now. The movie will have two heroines. Anushka has been finalised for one role and search is on for the other," he said.
But why does Suriya always want to work with Hari?
"Suriya is a hard working and I also love hard-working. May be, that's the reason. There is always a good understanding between us. He will provide what I want for the character he plays. We both feel energised when working together," he said.
Not only are Hari's movies fast, but the director works at a fast pace as well. "I will always start thinking about my next project even before commencing the
current one. After everything is set for the movie we are going to begin, there will be some free time. That's when I start thinking about my next project. As the movie progresses, the story for the next movie also will grow along," he says.

Surya's movie with Venkat - A 3D Style

Here it comes, straight from the horse’s mouth.After giving a blockbuster, Mankatha, with Ajith, hotshot filmmaker Venkat Prabhu has moved on to his next with another big star, Suriya.Prabhu, who’d shut himself with his assistants in a remote place for the last few weeks, was spotted in the city recently. DC caught up with him for a chat about the high action entertainer.

“Yes, my next is with Suriya which will be a new experience for Tamil audiences. I just narrated a line to Suriya which he liked. I am working on the full script now. Unlike Ra.One and other Hindi flicks which were shot in normal cameras and converted to the 3D format, the new Suriya film will be a 3D film which will be shot in 3D format. I am roping in Hollywood specialists who would be with us right from day one of shooting.”

Suriya to do a film with Bala!

It was Bala who gave Suriya two of the most memorable movies in his career- 'Nandha' and 'Pithamagan'. After a gap, the director and the actor seems to have decided to come together again. This has been confirmed by a person no lesser than Suriya himself.Talks are currently on (with Bala). We will soon decide on what will be our next venture and when will we do it. I am eager to do a film with Bala again," says Suriya, who was seen doing a cameo in the National award winning director's recent movie, 'Avan Ivan'.

On not acting in films directed by newcomers, the actor says, "That's because established directors could have a firm grip on the medium and they are able to clear all our doubts as and when they crop up. I am not saying new directors are less talented. But I am cautious."

"I would sure do a film with a debutant director if I get a right opportunity," Suriya says and adds: "These days, producers believe that the business of my movies has reached new heights. I don't want to shatter their hope. So I am working with popular filmmakers."

There is nothing about 7th Sense (7 Aam Arivu in Tamil) that has not been written about. From its huge budget of Rs. 80 cr. to its hit combination of Suriya and AR Murugadoss and Suriya's six-pack abs for a Kung Fu sequence, the film has been in news from the day its logo was unveiled.

Rumours about its supposed inspiration from Inception, which have been quashed by the director, apart, the film is awaited for the three distinct get-ups of Suriya.

Surprise in 7aum Arivu

The buzz in the tinsel town is that Abhinaya of Nadodigal fame will be Suriya’s lead pair in the film. Though Shruti Haasan will be the main lead pair, Abhinaya will be his onscreen pair in the flashback.

7aum Arivu’s director AR Murugadoss intended to keep this a secret and had instructed Abhinaya and other members of the team not to reveal it until the film releases but it has leaked out somehow.

Abhinaya’s character will have enough weightage in the film, sources close to the team say.

7am Arivu special effects in Stan Winston Studios!

Surya's AR Murgadoss directed 7am Arivu has completed its special effects from Stan Winston Studios in US. The special effects are said to be awesome and one of the highlights of the film.

The only other Indian film which had its special effects done at Stan Winston is Shankar's Rajinikanth sci-fi entertainer Enthiran in 2010.

A source close to the development said: '7am Arivu special effects are going to be talked about as it is state of the art on par with Hollywood. Nearly Rs 10 Crore has been spent on special effects, which would be one of the highlights of the film

Some of the major Hollywood films done at Stan Studios are the Terminator series, the Jurassic Park series, Aliens and the Predator series, Iron Man and the biggest of them all Avatar.
