Suriya to do a film with Bala!

It was Bala who gave Suriya two of the most memorable movies in his career- 'Nandha' and 'Pithamagan'. After a gap, the director and the actor seems to have decided to come together again. This has been confirmed by a person no lesser than Suriya himself.Talks are currently on (with Bala). We will soon decide on what will be our next venture and when will we do it. I am eager to do a film with Bala again," says Suriya, who was seen doing a cameo in the National award winning director's recent movie, 'Avan Ivan'.

On not acting in films directed by newcomers, the actor says, "That's because established directors could have a firm grip on the medium and they are able to clear all our doubts as and when they crop up. I am not saying new directors are less talented. But I am cautious."

"I would sure do a film with a debutant director if I get a right opportunity," Suriya says and adds: "These days, producers believe that the business of my movies has reached new heights. I don't want to shatter their hope. So I am working with popular filmmakers."

Surya’s 7am Arivu is all set to release on Diwali

‘7am Arivu’ hitting the headline again and again after the release of the first look. Udayanidhi Stalin is planning to release the audio in a unique manner.

Surya fans are extremely wanting to see their icon on the watch’s screen and also have been tweeting producer asking him concerning the film’s release.

Reacting to numerous questions on a single problem, Udayanidhi stated that ‘7am Arivu’ is a Diwali release and there’s very less chance of delivering it before that.

Based on the producer, there’s still lots of work that should be completed and it is therefore impossible release a the film the following month. However, the audio of the film is incorporated in the final stages and plans are onto launch it early the following month.

Anand goes the Allen way - Maatraan

The director, who is currently shooting for his next big project, Maatraan with Suriya has a scene which takes a jab at Ko. The director is known for this technique where he mocks his own movies. Sources reveal that K V Anand is a completely chilled out ma...n, humorous in nature and always looking to add that extra zing to whatever he's doing. "And, this is similar to the kind of technique Woody Allen uses," says an industry insider.
Anand previously mocked Ayan in Ko and now even plans to bring the character Vasanthan from Ko to Maatraan. "K V Anand wants to remind viewers that cinema is a continuous process and that's exactly what he is trying to show by mocking his own projects"adds the source.

7am Arivu dubbing rights locked by LGF

Lakshmi Ganapathi Films had brought in several successful dubbing films right from the Hollywood to Kollywood is back again. They have brought the locked the dubbing rights of 7am Arivu starring Surya, Shruthi Hassan for a sky-high price. 7am Arivu is directed by Murugadoss is high on expectations in Tamil and as well as Telugu.

Surya has good fan following Telugu as his earlier outings like Ghajini, Aaru, Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, Vaaranam Aayiram, Ayan, Aadhavan and Singam turned out to be hits and received good collections at Tollywood box office. The title of the Telugu version is not yet confirmed but the dubbing works of the film are on the heels of completion with the dialogues written by Shashank Vennelakanti.

The chief of LGF confess that they faced heavy competition from top producers from Tollywood for snapping the rights. He is expecting that 7am Arivu will become big hit.

The dubbing version will release along with the Tamil version.

Surya to turn producer

Surya, the hottest star of today, asserted, “I want to take a cue from Murugadoss and start my own productions, to encourage new talent. It’s a way to give something back to the industry which has given me so much.”

He was speaking at the audio launch of Murugadoss Productions’ maiden venture, Engeyum Eppodhum at a city multiplex.

He added that his new avatar as a producer would take place around the same time next year.
Engeyum Eppodhum, which features Jai, Anjali, Sarvanand and Ananya, is directed by Murugadoss’s former assistant Saravanan.

This film also marks the entry of Hollywood’s Fox Star Studios into Tamil cinema. Its music, by Sathya, was appreciated by all.

Though Kishore is the editor of the film, we were told that ace editor Antony had cut the slick trailer which was aired that evening.

Murugadoss was in an upbeat mood and nostalgic, too, as he recalled how he had naively come to Chennai a few years ago from his native Kallakurichi with the single agenda of making it big in films and he said he was gratified that he’d accomplished that goal.

SAC and Sarath Kumar were conspicuous by their absence. Vijay Singh, Vivek, Prabhu Solomon, Harris Jayaraj were among the other guests who graced the occasion.
