Suriya to do a film with Bala!

It was Bala who gave Suriya two of the most memorable movies in his career- 'Nandha' and 'Pithamagan'. After a gap, the director and the actor seems to have decided to come together again. This has been confirmed by a person no lesser than Suriya himself.Talks are currently on (with Bala). We will soon decide on what will be our next venture and when will we do it. I am eager to do a film with Bala again," says Suriya, who was seen doing a cameo in the National award winning director's recent movie, 'Avan Ivan'.

On not acting in films directed by newcomers, the actor says, "That's because established directors could have a firm grip on the medium and they are able to clear all our doubts as and when they crop up. I am not saying new directors are less talented. But I am cautious."

"I would sure do a film with a debutant director if I get a right opportunity," Suriya says and adds: "These days, producers believe that the business of my movies has reached new heights. I don't want to shatter their hope. So I am working with popular filmmakers."

Aamir Khan bitten by 7 Aum Arivu bug

The list of 7 Aum Arivu fans has found a new member from the Bollywood. The movie, which has created a buzz in the South Indian film industries, is not only eagerly awaited by the audience but an actor, who remade Surya's Ghajini in the Hindi film industry. Well, if you are still not sure about whom we are talking about, then it is none other than Aamir Khan.
The AR Murugadoss directorial movie, which will hit the screens for Diwali, has attracted Aamir Khan. If reports are to be believed, Aamir Khan is curious about 7 Aum Arivu. It may be because the actor had remade the filmmaker and Surya's Ghajini. He wants to know what they are offering this time. There are speculations that the Perfectionist might remake this movie if it creates ripples at the Box Office.

Sources further say that it has become a trend in Bollywood to remake successful South films. Aamir Khan might follow the same path of Salman Khan, who has taken many regional films to the Bollywood in the recent years. It is also said that the actor might watch the forthcoming Tamil movie in Mumbai.

Surprise in 7aum Arivu

The buzz in the tinsel town is that Abhinaya of Nadodigal fame will be Suriya’s lead pair in the film. Though Shruti Haasan will be the main lead pair, Abhinaya will be his onscreen pair in the flashback.

7aum Arivu’s director AR Murugadoss intended to keep this a secret and had instructed Abhinaya and other members of the team not to reveal it until the film releases but it has leaked out somehow.

Abhinaya’s character will have enough weightage in the film, sources close to the team say.

Act one, characters two

One wall of his functional office parlour is lined with numerous awards, trophies and mementos. I wonder at their sheer number but then realise many of them are not what he received. “Yes, this is the family trophy showcase,” explains Surya. “There are those belonging to my father (Sivakumar), brother (Karthi) and Jo (Jyothika, his wife). I keep adding mine to this, periodically.” But, Surya doesn't get carried away by the awards. “I do acknowledge the fact that many of these are awarded by the public through a poll, some are judged by renowned jurists, some by an appreciative group or organisation and some by the government. I don't let it go to my head but understand that the roles I play have been appreciated and justly rewarded.”With 29 films under his belt, including special and guest appearances, Surya is getting ready for the release of 7am Arivu, in which he plays a dual role, and not a triple one as reported in some sections of the press. “It is not really a double act, in the real sense of the word. I play a circus artist and a Buddhist monk during different phases of the movie. And, yes, I did many of the circus acts myself to lend that bit of authenticity to the scenes. I'd have loved to do more of the martial art sequences for the other role, but was not able to spare long intervals of time for training in Thailand,” says Surya. Why? Because, he is basically a home bird. “I try to spend as much time as possible with the kids at this

‎7th Sense: Ten crores spent on first 10 minutes

Udhayanidhi Stalin's name will reverberate for the coming days because, what he has done as the producer of 7am Arivu (7th Sense in Telugu) is unprecedented. He has spent a mind-boggling ten crores of rupees on the fist 10 minutes of this movie. Well, AR Murugadoss could not have asked for more. (He would have got it, even if he had asked for more).

7th Sense is making news not just for the coming together of Surya and Murugadoss six years after Ghajini, but also the cost on which it has been made. The lavish budget apart, the film's genre (science fiction) makes it even more exciting.

The makers are promising a never-seen-before movie-watching experience. The director, speaking in Hyderabad, even said that the Kung Fu sequence in the film has been shot lavishly, raising the expectations of action film lovers a notch higher.

Ravi K Chandran's cinematography is going to be another high point. You will be asked to not miss the first ten minutes of 7th Sense because it is not every year that a film like this is made.

All that we need to do is keep guessing about what is in store in the first few minutes of the film.

‎'7am Arivu' track details in here!

As the team '7am Arivu' is gearing up for an audio release on September 22, here is the details on this biggie's track list. The album consists of six tunes composed by Harris Jayaraj.

1. 'Oh Ringa Ringa...' is crooned by Roshan, Jerry John, Benny Dayal and Suchitra. Lyrics are by Pa Vijay. This is a typical Benny track as it is a fast paced number with techno beats.

2. 'Mun Andhi...' can be termed as the pick of the album, vouch those who have listened to the tracks of this film. Karthik and Megha have crooned this song that has lyrics penned by Na Muthukumar. It's a feel good romantic number that is sure to rise up the charts and set a rage among the young and those smitten by love.Take a look at these two images from the song sequence.

3. 'Yellae Lama...' is by Vijay Prakash, Karthik, Shalini and the lead lady of the film, Shruti Haasan! Lyrics are by Na Muthukumar and it is a duet song between Surya  and Shruti Haasan, with fast and peppy beats. As you can see them in smashing rockstar avatars.

4. 'Yamma Yamma...' is crooned by SP Balasubramanyam and Swetha Menon. It's a typical pathos song that sounds more like a lullaby. The song will remind one of some of the best Ilarayaraja's melodies and sources add that SPB's voice has a refreshing and young appeal in this track. Lyrics are by Kabilan.

5. 'Innum Enna Thozha...' is by Balram, Naresh Iyer and Suchith Suresan with lyrics by Pa Vijay. The lyrics are highly motivational and are backed by apt tunes.

6. 'The Rise of Damo...' is the mandarin song sung by Hao Wang with lyrics penned by Madhan Karky. Expectations are raving high on this number by fans and movie goers.

'7am Arivu' has Surya and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles under AR Murugadoss's direction. The film is gearing up for a release and it maybe mentioned that Surya - AR Murugadoss - Harris Jayaraj's earlier offering 'Ghajini' was a smashing hit.

7am Arivu - the date is confirmed!

The Diwali line-up for this year is getting ready and its really big. Velayudham has already been confirmed and the audio launch was held last week. Now, its Surya’s turn to wow the industry with the audio launch of 7am Arivu.

The movie is already one of the most closely watched ones of the year by both industry sources and fans alike because it marks the return of AR Murugadoss to Tamil after delivering the blockbuster Ghajini with Surya. The film will also see Shruti Haasan’s debut as an actress in Tamil. Things become even more special because the composer is Harris Jayaraj and the memories of the Ghajini score still lingers in our minds.

We don’t need more reasons to go high on anticipation. Adding to this, we have received many tidbits about the characters that Surya will be playing in the movie. The stills too have been quite eye-capturing.

The reason for delay of 7aam Arivu Audio launch

While earlier it was audio label Sony BMG that played ping-pong with the release dates now it happens to be composer Harris Jayaraj who doesn’t seem to be satisfied with his results and taking extra time to make the music classy as possible.

Now there are complaints from the Murugadoss camp saying that Harris is taking his own sweet time to polish things up for the big release.
