Suriya-Gautham's film Dhruva Natchathiram goes on floors

The announcement of another Suriya-Gautham Vasudev Menon project created a lot of buzz in the industry . The film, finally went on the floors on Thursday, when Suriya, who has just finished the shooting schedules of Singam 2 was also present. Others present at the occasion included Parthiepan, Ram, Premsai, Vignesh, Rajeevan and Madan Karky .Produced under the Photon Kathaas banner, the music has been composed by A R Rahman. The first look of the film, released a few days ago, has generated a lot of curiosity. In what is an interesting coincidence, the director’s son is also Dhruv,
“Yes, my son’s name is Dhruv, but that is not the reason the title has been kept Dhruva Natchathiram. In the film Suriya’s character name is Dhruv. In mythology, Dhruv is a pole star and when it appears, it is supposed to bring about a huge change. The script demanded a title like this and after a lot of research, I zeroed down on this name”.
As for the female protagonist, the director says, “I am looking for a fresh face who knows Tamil. We haven’t found anyone yet.” As for the rest of the cast, it reads like a who’s who list! “Simran and Parthiepan are brought on board for crucial roles,” the director says.
