Speaking from Tuticorin, where the final leg of the shoot is going on, director of Singham 2, Hari says, “Suriya's Singham 2 will be a real sequel in the history of Tamil cinema, where all the stars and characters are repeated except Prakash Raj who dies in the first version of Singham. Suriya, Anushka, Vijayakumar, Vivek, Manorama, Radha Ravi and Nasser are part of the sequel. The new additions include
Hansika and Santhanam.“
Hari says that Devi Sri Prasad who gave brilliant numbers earlier contin ues his good work here too. The new baddies are Rahman, Mukesh Rishi and British actor Danny Sapani essays the crude vil lain in the film. The story which commences in south India ends in South Africa. Climax has been shot in overseas location. Typical of Hari's style, the movie which has the main backdrop of Tuticorin has been shot in crowded places like market, busy roads, temple etc. Even in Durban, it was shot candidly in places where people throng.
