Here it comes, straight from the horse’s mouth. After giving a blockbuster, Mankatha, with Ajith, hotshot filmmaker Venkat Prabhu has moved on to his next with another big star, Suriya.Prabhu, who’d shut himself with his assistants in a remote place for the last few weeks, was spotted in the city recently. DC caught up with him for a chat about the high action entertainer.
“Yes, my next is with Suriya which will be a new experience for Tamil audiences. I just narrated a line to Suriya which he liked. I am working on the full script now. Unlike Ra.One and other Hindi flicks which were shot in normal cameras and converted to the 3D format, the new Suriya film will be a 3D film which will be shot in 3D format. I am roping in Hollywood specialists who would be with us right from day one of shooting.”
On his non-availability over the phone Prabhu reasons, “Somehow, a lot of Ajith sir fans got my mobile number and started calling me day and night. Though it was a pleasure to get so many calls, it was slightly delaying my script work. So, I gave my phone to my friend who is answering all the calls. I do return important ones!” he quips.
Though he was not forthcoming about bringing Tollywood star Ravi Teja to Tamil films, his close aides did confirm that the actor has been approached and told about the script.
His favorite crew members Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematographer Sakthi Saravanan are part of the project. The movie will go on the floors in mid 2012.
